Having undergone some line-up changes since we covered 'Cherry Pie' almost exactly a year ago, rowdy girl-gang Yassassin are back with a vibrant new video for their riotous recent cut 'Citizen'. Enlisting the queen of lo-fi music videos Katia Ganfield on directing duties, the colourful clip plays on the vocal hook, "the children gonna wake up" in a DIY mash-up between a kids birthday party and one of Yassassin's electrifying live shows. The band explained, “‘Citizen’ has been an ever-evolving song that went through a huge re-jig when Steph and Nat joined the band. I guess it’s about realising that as messed up as our world is, there are still so many people who care and get themselves involved in fighting injustices. It really gives you hope.
